Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the website and related services operated by TheGist (‘The Gist,’ ‘we,’ or the ‘Service’).
1. The Service
The Service provides coverage of major global changes, daily briefs, videos, Insights, and related archives. Some content may be created or translated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and automated tools and is subject to our editorial review.
Availability and publication timing may differ by language. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service.
2. Accounts
Some features require Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and must not use another person’s account without permission. We may restrict accounts where we identify misuse or a security risk.
The Service is not directed to children under 14.
3. Acceptable Use
You must not violate law or another person’s rights, interfere with the Service, collect or reproduce content in bulk without permission, bypass security measures, gain unauthorized access, or impersonate The Gist or another person.
4. Content and Rights
Articles, videos, images, designs, trademarks, and editorial materials belong to The Gist or their respective rights holders. You may view content and share links for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, or collect substantial portions as automated training data without permission. Lawful quotations should identify The Gist and link to the original page.
5. Information and Corrections
Our content is for general information and is not legal, medical, financial, investment, or other professional advice. Important decisions should be based on original sources and appropriate professional advice.

6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Gist is not liable for loss arising from use of our content, failures of external services, events reasonably outside our control, or the user’s acts or omissions. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Changes and Governing Law
We may update these Terms and will announce material changes before they take effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes will be submitted to courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.
